A Message From HE Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster

On behalf of the Catholic community in England and Wales, I write to express my heartfelt gratitude for your message of condolence following the death of  our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis.

At this time of mourning, your words have been a source of comfort and strength, not only to me personally but to the entire Catholic community. Pope Francis served the Church with humility, courage, and a deep love for the poor and the marginalised. His witness to the Gospel touched hearts across the world, and his legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

As we commend his soul to the mercy of God, we also give thanks for his life, his ministry, and his unwavering commitment to the unity of the Church and the service of humanity.
