Liverpool Seafarer Centre provides a welcome refuge to over 50,000 seafarers who pass through the port of Liverpool each year. The centre, based at Crosby Road South, is in vital need of extra volunteers to help it run its centre and minibus transport service.
Throughout the summer, LSC will be promoting Volunteering vacancies through its social media and are asking the public to get in touch.
VOLUNTEER VACANCIES:
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer at our Liverpool Seafarer Centre and providing a safe and welcoming space for visiting seafarers? We’re currently seeking volunteers to assist us in running our social club, distributing donations to crew members, and offering information about the local area or other practical resources.
Or do you want to drive our minibus and provide visiting seafarers with an opportunity to explore the incredible attractions of Liverpool?
We would also gratefully appreciate volunteers to help with the general maintenance of our centre including a small amount of gardening, window cleaning or painting & decorating.
You have the freedom to choose when to work, without a long-term obligation, whether just for a few hours here and there or a more frequent basis. Make a positive impact in our community while meeting new and interesting people. It’s also great on your CV and we’d be happy to provide you with a reference for your work!
Please contact us for more information. Induction is available and volunteers must be 18 years or older. Drivers require a minimum of four years of driving experience and a spotless driving record.
