Our Chief Executive, John Wilson, was given a warm welcome by crew onboard m/v Wilson Gijon recently, when it came into Garston Port, Liverpool.
John’s visit was prompted by a contact from Ms Becky Haldane, the Port Chaplain from the Sailor’s Society in the West of Scotland after she visited the vessel while alongside in Greenock.
She advised us that the crew on board the vessel had requested a visit from the Liverpool Seafarer Centre, and John was delighted to join them onboard. Knowing that the vessel was destined for Aberdeen, we have advised the crew to contact the local Aberdeen Seafarer Centre when they arrive in port.
At the Liverpool Seafarers Centre, we often work in partnership with other charities and organisations in order to provide the best possible support service to our Seafarers. The wellbeing of Seafarers is always at the forefront of what we do each day.
